About Dourthe and Essence de Dourthe
Since 1840, Dourthe has been one of the best and most successful wine producers in Bordeaux. Dourthe, the sister company of CVBG Grands Crus, owns 9 Châteaux in Bordeaux, in 9 different AOCs, representing 500 hectares, including Château Belgrave, 5th Grand Cru Classé 1855. Essence de Dourthe is Dourthe masterpiece, its signature of excellence and the “ultimate Bordeaux”. It’s a very unique wine, made with a blend of the top parcels from Dourthe Châteaux. Hence, it’s a Bordeaux AOC, and the first “Super Bordeaux” as a wink to the Super-Toscans. Very exclusive, the total production is only of 6000 bottles, not produced every year and on allocation per country.
