    This exhilaratingly light, off-dry Riesling Kabinett comes from the heart of the Middle Mosel, home to this noble grape. The historic Selbach family of Zeltingen has drawn on the river Mosel’s flaky, grey slate to conjure up a brilliantly intense and breezy Riesling. 2014 did not have the extraordinary October weather of 2013 and is very much a Kabinett year: cool, crisp wines with a fine line of minerality. The vintage can be rated as one of the best in this category of the past decade, with good ripeness, excellent acidity and fine, classic aromas of slate and citrus.

    This is the first vintage of our own-label St Julien to be made by Ch. Léoville-Las Cases, one of the finest properties in Bordeaux. The full-bodied palate is laden with pure blackcurrant fruit, wood-smoke and has a long, complex finish. A blend of 63 percent Merlot and 37 percent Cabernet Sauvignon, the superb 2016 vintage will repay a year or two in the cellar, but is hard to resist now.
